James Shirley McCoy, 92, formerly of Connie Circle in the Rosewood Community died Monday at The Mansions at Gwinnett Park Assisted Living in Lawrenceville, GA.

Mr. McCoy was a retired Administrator of Social Security Office. He was preceded in death by his wife Lillie Mae Harrison McCoy (2017) and his parents of Greene County Annie Catherine Shirley and Cicero McCoy.

Surviving are his sons, Dr. Michael James McCoy and his wife Nancy and Matthew Harrison McCoy both of Lawrenceville, GA. Sister, Sylvia Mewborn of Chapel Hill and a brother, William McCoy of Chapel Hill.

Graveside Service will be Sunday, September 5, 2021 at 2:00 PM at Evergreen Memorial Cemetery, Hwy 70 West of Goldsboro. There will be time to meet with the family following the service.
